Of course there is the welcoming of Santa Claus and Black(Motorcycle)Peter on Saturday December 2nd at The Motorcycle Company.
Besides that we, at The Motorcycle Company,have declared the month of December our campaign month.
And then,of course,we have our Great "The Motorcycle Company Lottery". A unique happening in the motorcycle world in which a real NORTON COMMANDO can be won.
It has become the talk of the town (in motorcycle circles).
The meeting of fans of old enduro motorcycles on Sunday November 5th was very successful and therefore we will continue to give motorcycle-clubs and hobbyists the opportunity to meet each other in motorcycle friendly surroundings.
We are alwaysfor your suggestions.
And you know when you are in the neighborhood and especially on a Saturday (see our newng times at he end of this letter!) come and visit us.
Especially those Saturdays are social gatherings in our shop.

1. ABSAF/BSA
A great number of customers have already visited our shop to see and admire the brandnew ABSAF/BSA Gold Star DBD34 500cc engines.
The first engine is a standard form for use in a roadgong bike, a motocross bike or an enduro/trials bike. The second engine was specially built for sporting purposes or road racing.
The coming winter can be used for preparing, restoring and/or building a (new) bike. When you yourself would like to build the classic bike of your own design, design with the parts you especially like to have on your bike, then the ABSAF/BSA Gold Star DBD34 engine would be the perfect engine for your bike.
This ABSAF/BSA engine is far superior to the original specimen. But it still has the real and so admired BSA Gold Star look.
Besides that, we can deliver all the ABSAF/BSA Gold Star engine parts you need if you have worn out parts in your own engine,don't hesitate and order the parts you need to make your engine as reliable as possible.
We can deliver them all.
We can also deliver a Norton Featherbedframe a Seeley frame and so on.

2.Bikes on consignment
Among the many classic motorcycles we have for sale, there are a number of bikes on consignment.
The great number of potential buyers in our shop guarantees a quick turn over of motorcycles we have for sale, so also the bikes we have on consignment.
We have the facilities, the showroom in our Company, to show any bike in the best way possible.
So you know, when you don't like time-waisting people at your door, to contact us.
We collect bikes from all over the world and our conditions for selling your bike(s) are very reasonable.
So contact us by E-mail or telephone.
3.Searching for bikes
When the rain is falling, which it does too much these days, you can only dream about the springtime, a nice time to start building the classic bike of your dreams.
Do you have the bike you want?
If you don't and you do not know how to obtain that classic bike of your dreams, contact us.There are so many enthusiasts,too many, who want a classic bike. Therefore they are seldom offered for sale. Don't worry because we have the capabilities, via our many contacts all over Europe (and the rest of the world),to look for just that bike you dream of owning.
So are you looking for something of special interest to you and you cannot find it, contact us and undoubtedly we can arrange to get you the bike you want.
4. Successful meeting of fans of classic enduro motorcycles on Sunday November 5th at our Company .
In our previous Newsletter we announced this meeting and it was a very successful one indeed.
About 75 enthusiasts for classic enduro bikes (built un till about 1978) attended the meeting organized by one of our co-workers Wim Marynis.
Among them were many well known competition riders from the past such like, Simon Schram, Andre Hak, Piet den Haan, Ton Bakker and so on, who won medals in International Six Days Trials in the fifties, sixties and the seventies. While enjoying a bite to eat and a drink and viewing old enduro videos, many stories were told.
Old enduro competitor John Edelhausen was the man who brought and showed everyone those old videos and they are for sale (his telephone number: ).
Many enthusiasts had taken their old enduro bikes with them and among them were several nice-looking Maico's, "Double-carburettor"-Puchs, Jawa's, a splendid 1-cylinder BMW, a 750cc boxer twin BMW, Moto Morini's and so on. Altogether a nice gathering of old and rare enduro material.
Undoubtedly we are doing this "classic enduro meeting" again next year and we hope that we can attract even more enthusiasm for this interesting kind of classic motorcycling.
5. What bikes can we offer at the moment?
We can offer some very interesting classic motorcycles at this moment. Motorcycles which are rare and sought after.
What do you think of a real fantastic MV-Agusta 4-cylinder 750S from 1974?
The MV-Agusta is for many motorcycle enthusiasts the ultimate Italian motorcycle make, with an almost fantastic row of Grand Prix victories.
Who does not know Giacomo Agostini, John Surtees and Mike (the Bike) Hailwood,who rode these red "tyrants" to numerous victories? The 750S (Supreme Sportster) model made his debut at the Milan Motorcycle Show in 1969 and could be bought from 1970 onwards.
In contrast with the former disappointing 600cc 4-cylinder model the 750S showed the glamour and style of the legendary Grand Prix racers and that was what a select few of the public wanted.
The oversquare engine (bore x stroke 65 x 56=743cc) with two overhead camshafts and 5 gears did have 69 pk, good for a topspeed of 225 km/h.
Due to the price, this 750S model MV-Agusta was only reserved for a limited clientele.
We have been able to lay our hands on a splendid specimen of this famous model and we are glad to be able to offer this 4-cylinder MV to, we regret, only one customer of TMC.
Also, we offer for sale a rare Harley-Davidson XLCR Café-racer from 1977. This massive Milwaukee built V-twin delivers 61 pk and has a topspeed of 185 km/h.
Representing a famous German make is our authentic black BMW 500cc R50 boxertwin model, and you know black is beautiful.
From Italy we offer a Laverda Jota 3-cylinder 1000cc model.
We offer both these two beautiful bikes at reduced prices.
Waiting, for you, are a BSA Gold Star DBD34 500cc in Clubman's trim with Eddy Dow tank, a BSA Golden Flash 650cc model and soon we are expecting a BSA Thunderbolt and a BSA Lightning.
From Moto Guzzi we have 2 850GT's, 2 V7's Sport (a restored and a unrestored model) and a V7 Special.
From Britain we offer a Matchless G12 650cc twin, a nice bike for touring.
For people who like to restore and hobby, we have several interesting bikes such like a 175cc Moto Guzzi Lodola, a rare 175cc two stroke FN, an Italian Romeo Sportsmoped for a fancy price of Dfl.1250.00, a 250cc Honda CB72 with racing-parts and a 250cc BSA GS.

For every Dfl. 500.00, spent in our shop, during the months of OCTOBER, NOVEMBER, DECEMBER, JANUARY, FEBRUARY AND MARCH you will get a lottery ticket.
The purchase can exist of parts, clothing, helmets and so on but also a complete motorcycle.
So if you, for instance, would buy a classic motorcycle for an amount of Dfl. 9000.00, then you will get 18 tickets!
When you, during the period of October 1st, 2000 up to March 31st, 2001 buy goods in our shop, you can save up the sales receipts. When you have reached the amount of Dfl. 500,-- you can exchange them in our shop for a lottery ticket.
For those customers who have bought a classic motorcycle in the year 2000 we have a special surprise,they will also get the chance to win the NORTON COMMANDO. They will ( or already have) receive(d) a ticket for free for every Dfl. 2000.00 spent!
The notarized drawing and give-away of the NORTON COMMANDO, by a Dutch motorcycle celebrity, to the lucky winner of the first, the second and the third prize will take place in the course of the month April 2001 on a Saturday; the exact date has yet to be determined .
Sales of motorcycles on consignment are (of course) excluded from the lottery.

7. Month of December: campaign month
The month of December is as always the most pleasant month of the year, a month to celebrate.
At THE MOTORCYCLE COMPANY we will celebrate this month with a special discount-campaign.
Our discounts during the month of December are 25% and more. Discounts are given on leather-and nylon jackets, AGV helmets, but also spark plugs, chains, bulbs, several Abus-locks, brake-pads, batteries, and so on.
So you can save a lot of money and your purchases count towards our great lottery!
We intend to specialize in clothing (Bellstaf), helmets, boots and gloves, and oils and lead substitutions (Castrol Miller and Bardahl). Important is that we will listen to our customers.
What do you want us to sell? So if you have any questions or remarks about this tell it to us!
We are glad to have become the sole representative for the Helmet make DAVIDA in the provinces of Noord-Holland, Zuid-Holland and Utrecht . Davida is aiming to please the riders of classic motorcycles and makes Cromwell-model helmets and Jet helmets.
We can also deliver goggles and specialized lenses from Davida for those helmets.
When it comes to parts, we are the one and only representative of ABSAF/BSA Gold Star parts for Holland and Belgium and we will concentrate on the products of this great Dutch Engineering Company.
8. Reception of Santa Claus and Black(Motorcycle)Peter
on Saturday December 2nd.
Santa Claus and Black Peter are,of course, classic motorcycle minded. Therefore we are happy to announce, that they will visit our Company on SATURDAY DECEMBER 2nd.
WE EXPECT THAT SANTA CLAUS AND BLACK PETER WILL ARRIVE
IN A SPECIAL MOTORCYCLE MANNER AT 11 AM, AT OUR COMPANY,
AMBACHTSTRAAT 3, BERGAMBACHT.
THEY WILL STAY WITH US UNTIL 1 PM.
Therefore we invite all our customers to bring their children.
So come and visit Santa Claus and for every child there will be a surprise and something to drink. Not only for them of course.
For everyone there will be a bite to eat and something to drink.
TIP: The month of December is the month to give presents to the people you like and love.
If you want to surprise your lover or a friend, you will undoubtedly find that special present in our shop.
