Dear visitor,

I am happy to introduce myself and especially:
THE MOTORCYCLE COMPANY.

We are a newly established firm, specialising in the buying and selling of classic motorcycles and used and new parts from our spacious shop in the middle of Holland.

I am also happy that together with this introduction I can announce a fantastic draw in wich buyers of a motorcycle, or of other poducts, can win a real
NORTON COMMANDO. (see below)

We, my co-workers and I, are long-time enthusiastic riders-mechanics of classic motorcycles, involved in the classic motorcycle scene and taking part regularly in rallies and races and other classic two-wheel activities.
Working as a team, we know exactly what kind of work we do on any bike before we offer it to the customers and therefore we can guarantee the bikes we are selling to the motorcycle enthusiasts.

We do have a growing choice of motorcycles; from classic road bikes to sports/racing bikes and off- road/enduro bikes, equipped with two stroke- and four stroke engines. Name it and we can deliver it, for example if we don't have the bike you want, then we set out to find the bike you prefer.
Besides selling bikes, we are also representatives of renowned brands and makes of helmets, clothing, tires, motor oils, spare parts and all the other things you need to keep your bike in ultimate running form.

To inform our customers and interested motor cycle we dispatch regularly our NEWSLETTER, named THE CLASSIC MOTORCYCLE INFO.

1. ABSAF
=============================================
We are proud to announce that we have the representation in Holland and Belgium of the ABSAF (BSA Gold Star) parts.
The Dutch engineering company ABSAF, for several years now, has been producing all the BSA Gold Star parts with a superior quality and better than the original ones.
Cylinders, cylinder heads, crankcases, crankshafts, connecting rods, big ends, name it and we can help you. So, if you own a BSA Gold Star with a worn out engine you don't have to worry, for with the ABSAF Gold Star parts you can make your engine even better than new. Really!

If you wish, you can build yourself a completely new BSA DBD 32 or BSA DBD 34 engine.
Before long we will show a complete newly built and tuned ABSAF (BSA Gold Star) engine in our showroom so that you may see for yourself the excellent work ABSAF is doing for all the BSA Gold Star owners world wide!
You can use a completely built up engine for the road, trial, moto-cross or racing-purposes.
Wintertime is a favourite time to build a bike. Besides the engine, we can also deliver all the parts you need to make the bike of your dreams. Talk with us and tell us what you are planning to do and undoubtedly we can help you.

2. Bikes on consignment
=============================================
We offer the service/possibility of selling your bike through our Company. In other words, we can sell your bike on consignment. The benefits of doing so are many. No time consuming telephone calls, no time wasted at your door and to not even speak of unreliable people. In our showroom many interested customers will see your bike, customers who are willing to buy a bike. When you want to sell your bike and it is not in a "good quality" condition, we can agree to bring it in that condition. Because a bike in good condition always finds a buyer fast and we have the tools to bring your bike in to that condition. Our conditions for selling your bike(s) are very reasonable.

3. Searching for bikes
============================================
Visiting a rally, or visiting friends or whenever you see that classic motorcycle you can't wait to own, but, it is not for sale and you cannot find that particular bike anywhere. Don't despair and contact our company, because we have the opportunities to look for the bike you want.

4. What bikes do we offer at the moment?
==============================================
We have a number of interesting bikes for sale. We will show you some out of our present collection:
- BMW R50, this 500cc ohv transverse flat twin is pre-eminently a "Gentleman's bike" with the clean shaft drive.

- BSA A10 Replica Gold Star twin, a popular and wanted bike, although a replica it is an eye-catcher.

- several Moto Guzzi's among them the V7 Sport completely restored, also a fully original and serviced V7 Sports model,a 850GT and a V7 Special model.

- Triumph Trident in a good condition.

- Vincent Rapide 1952, this Vincent is in showroom condition and restored by a well-known Vincent specialist.
- Ducati 900SS Mike Hailwood Replica 1982; in 1978 the famous Mike Hailwood won in the Isle of Man, (having not competed there for 11 years) the F1 class of the English TT, a glorious victory! For the Ducati fans the factory made a Replica model in a limited edition and such a model (one only!) we can offer now.
We also have for sale a Ducati 900SD model, a 860cc café-racer and a tuned 900SS NCR-model.

- several MV-Agusta's, among them 350cc models.

We are expecting several interesting motorcycles in the near future, such as Norton Commando's and Laverda's.

We are always interested in buying Moto Guzzi's, Laverda's, MV Agusta's, English makes and other interesting classic motorcycles and appreciate tips.
When they are leading to an acquisition we offer a reward.

5. Guarantee.
=============================================
Before we sell a bike, we do a complete overhaul on it.
If the tires are older than two years, we replace them with new ones.
Chains and cam wheels are replaced. The carburettor is adjusted, air cleaners will be cleaned or replaced.
Spark plugs and contact points will be replaced. If necessary new Bowdencables will be fit. Old accumulators will be replaced with a new one. We are doing this simply because we don't want to sell an inferior motorcycle and therefore we guarantee our bikes for three months. Our guarantee is the BOVAG-guarantee. (The seal of approval commonly used in The Netherlands).

6. Unique THE MOTORCYCLE COMPANY lottery!
=============================================
= IN THE MONTH OF APRIL, 2001 THE MOTORCYCLE COMPANY WILL HOLD A LOTTERY TO GIVE AWAY A CLASSIC MOTORCYCLE OF A FAMOUS MAKE:
A NORTON COMMANDO!

This unique lottery, onlyto our customers, will be starting October 1st and will last up to and including March 31, 2001.
In other words IN THE COMING MONTHS OF OCTOBER, NOVEMBER, DECEMBER, JANUARY, FEBRUARY AND MARCH for every Dfl. 500.00 you spend in our shop, you will get a lottery ticket. The purchase can exist of parts, clothing, and helmets and so on but also a complete motorcycle. If you would buy a classic motorcycle for an amount of Dfl. 9,000.00 you will get 18 lottery tickets.
When you, during the period of October 1st. 2000 and up to and including March 31 2001, buy goods in our shop, you can save up the sales receipts. When you have reached the amount of Dfl. 500.00 you can exchange them in our shop for a lottery ticket.
For the customers who have bought a classic motorcycle with us in the year 2000 we have a special surprise, they will also get a chance to win the Norton Commando. They will receive a limited number of lottery tickets for free.
We will inform them and confirm this by a personal letter.

The notarised drawing and hand over of the Norton Commando to the lucky winner will take place over the course of the month April 2001; the exact date is to be determined later on.

Post Scriptum :
Sales of Motorcycles on consignment are (of course) excluded from the lottery. The complete rules and regulations for THE MOTORCYCLE COMPANY LOTTERY are available in our shop.

7. Activities
===================================================
On a regular basis we have special campaigns in which we offer special goodies for special prices. For the coming months are we also organising special activities and events.
On Sunday November 5 we have a meeting for enthusiasts for riding with classic six-days/enduro motorcycles (built until about 1978) with a mini-exhibition of classic enduro bikes. In December Santa Claus will visit our Company and we will make this month a special activity-month.
