2. Investing in Classics
================================================================
So you know the saying, "killing two birds with one stone"?
You are wondering what we mean? Well, with this we mean enjoying your money twice as much. As you know, global markets aren't what they were in the last few years. Worse, many of us had to suffer through some sleepless nights in these past few weeks. We have some customers, on the other hand, who went through the market downturn with a smile on their face. For they ride a classical motorcycle which doesn't loose value. Even better, it only gains in value. That because of one simple law of economics: "Supply and demand", the interest in classical motorcycles rises, the supply stays the same. Besides that, they are also having a lot of fun riding their classic. Another problem is, that a new racing motorcycle would loose its value before it would even be paid for. That is the way the "new" motorcycle market works.

When an enthusiast of classical motorcycles were to buy a Norton, BSA, Moto Guzzi or Laverda, he would immediately own a valuable amount of "character on wheels", a true "eye-catcher", the talk of any parking lot. And lets be honest, that would make any of us feel good! There is one thing we will tell you: "Twice the fun on your classical bike, or hope your stock portfolio won't take another hike".

3. Sales Mediation
================================================================

What next? We ARE waiting for you, contact US. We can mediate in the sale of your motorcycle. Your motorcycle will be well taken care of in our well lit and heated showroom and will be seen by the many customers who visit our showroom. 4. We will find
================================================================
Maybe, by reading a magazine article or watching a TV show, you have set your sights on that one classical motorcycle. You have looked through all the ads in the papers, but can't find the one you want (that often is the way it is, the one you want is not available).A real shame. With the contacts we have locally and abroad, it is easy for us to track down the "gem" between two classic wheels for you. Thus, if you are looking for that classic motorcycle of any specific make and model, contact us. We will discuss the matter and will find it for you.

5. Meeting for enthusiasts of Classic Reliability Motorcycles in Lexmond
================================================================
As you still might remember, on Sunday November 5th, we hosted a gathering of about 70 enthusiasts for Classic Reliability Motorcycles at our store. Enthusiasts with interesting classics, such as Puch, Maico, Moto Morini, Jawa etc.

This very successful afternoon will HAVE A SEQUEL (again organized by one of our staff members) on SUNDAY APRIL 8TH at the 50cc RACEMOTORMUSEUM, Nieuwe Rijksweg 142a, in Lexmond.

(reachable via the A2, off ramp NR. 10 Vianen, then to Lexmond and at the crossing left, then an immediate right onto the service road (side road), after about 1 km you will find the racemotormuseum on your left hand side).

John Edelhausen will show videos of Reliability Rides from the past (also will be for sale) and undoubtedly there will be a lot of talk about a lot of interesting 50cc race motors, among which new buys and again a few other rare and reliable engines with well know riders from the past to talk to. In other words, it is going to be another "Old Timer" afternoon, you are hereby invited to stop by.

We are offering a very special deal on a 500 cc Triumph Speed Twin 5TA in the colour red. This is a totally original Speed Twin of the very rare Bathtub model of 1961. Staying on the English path, we would like to point you to a couple of BSA Scramblers or terrain/semi- terrain bikes in several 250cc and 500cc models, this means, real cross and off-road models. Thunderbolt and Lightning are also some special BSA models we can offer you.

Viva Italia to us, means several fun and nice Moto Guzzi's, Laverda's and Moto Morini's. If you would be interested in an inexpensive motorcycle and you like to work on it yourself , then we might be able to help you out with some interesting "Fixer Uppers". Our custom built is still very special and will remain extremely interesting for those who love to own the top of the line.

For each individual customer we will find their specific needs and wants. But it is always a good idea to come and visit us, so we may show you what we have to offer and see for yourself.

9. A piece of Norton history
================================================================
Norton is one of the biggest names in the English motorcycle industry. It was James Lansdowne Norton who gave his name to this brand of motorcycle. The first Norton's had Swiss Moto-Reve and French Peugeot engines, which were built, under licence, in England. With a Norton-Peugeot V-twin, Rem Fowler in 1907, won the twin-cylinder class in the English TT on the "Isle of Man", the first Norton TT victory was made a fact; many would follow. The first Norton with its own 633cc zk engine appeared in 1908. The first kk model in 1922 and the first ohc model, built for TT racing, in 1927. James was only 56 when he died in 1925, but was there to see the English TT in 1924, in which Alec Bennett won the Senior class and George Tucker won the sidecar race. Walter Moore was the sidecar passenger of Tucker and also the man who designed the first overhead cam for Norton. In 1930 he moved on to NSU and Arthur Carrol became his successor. The Irishman Joe Craig, who had stopped racing, was now head of the Norton Racing Department and remained there, to write Norton racing history, until the Fifties. Norton became, with out a doubt, the most successful English brand in racing. The biggest names in racing, won countless road races with their Norton's. Stanley Woods, Freddy Frith, Jimmy Guthrie, Walter Rusk, and here in The Netherlands, Piet van Wijngaarden, Bertus van Hamersveld, Arie v.d. Pluym, Piet Bakker, Lo Simons, Bert Oosterhuis and others. Are famous for the many races won and championships they hold on Norton's from Bracebridge Street, Birmingham.

During WW II, Norton produced more then 100,000 army motorcycles, type 16H, the 500cc side flap model. After WW II, it were, thanks to the firm tuning policy of Joe Craig, Geoff Duke, Ray Amm, Mike Hailwood, John Surtees, Bob Mc Intyre and lots of others who kept up the honour of the brand, a lot of times against multi-cylinders. The famous featherbed-frame, designed by the Irishman Mc. Candless, was to credit for this for an important part. The road handling of a featherbed Norton was and still is phenomenal. Craig retired in 1955, married van Piet van Wijngaarden's widow, but suffered a fatal accident in Austria two years later. With the Commando models, Norton again would make name for its self. A similar Norton Commando is the First prize to be won in the TMC lottery with good reason!
