I may hope that you haven't been hit by the flu as I am. I think I have not ridden motorcycles enough the last weeks. But in fact that has been caused by business matters, a good thing for the company of course. Nevertheless I hope to meet you on our stand at the Vehikel Fair in Utrecht, which will be held on Friday 16, Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 February from hours in the so-called Jaarbeurshallen near the Central Railway- Station.

Especially, we like the visitors of our stand to pay attention to our great The Motorcycle Company Lottery with a Norton Commando Interstate MK3 from 1975 as the first prize. In any case: I hope to see you on our TMC stand in Utrecht!

2. THE MOTORCYCLE COMPANY: who we are and what we do =========================================================
The Motorcycle Company has become well known by a great deal of satisfied customers. For those who do not know what we do and what we want, and especially for the visitors of the Vehikel Fair, we want to explain our activities.

TMC is a young and enthusiastic company with the purpose to give good service to the classic motorcycle hobbyist. We are dealing in classic motorcycles from 1920 till 1980, especially from English and Italian manufacture. Great Britain and England have had a great number of famous motorcycle factories which have built a treasure of, what we call now, classic motorcycles. Motorcycle makes which have written motorcycle history on the roads and on the race-circuits all over the world. We are ourselves of course classic motorcycle enthusiasts who are riding our classic bikes in our spare time.

We noticed that there was a need for a classic motorcycle company, a company that understands the thoughts of the classic motorcycle hobbyist. A company selling classic motorcycles, accessories, spare parts, clothing and helmets. Classic motorcycles which are serviced, repaired, or restored and sold under guarantee. For this purpose we have the disposal of a well equipped shop annex showroom, repair shop and personal attention for the customer. In the showroom we have a varying collection of classic motorcycles from mainly the fifties, the sixties and the seventies.

If desired we can also build a motorcycle with the parts you want. It is interesting to know that we are the exclusive dealer for Holland and Belgium of the well known 500cc ABSAF/BSA GOLD STAR DBD 34 engines and parts. Engines which are better than the originals and in several degrees of tuning, either for road or racing purposes. We can deliver all the parts you need for building a special, such as frames, wheels, tophalfs, seats and so on. Name it and we can deliver it.

We are also the exclusive importer of "Old Racing Spare Parts" (Sassi) from Italy. This is an extended delivery program of parts and tools for racing- and road purposes, 1- and 2-cylinder overhead camshaft Ducati's and so on. Ask for our particular pretty catalogue with original photographs, technical information and delivery possibilities.

Our company in the heart of Holland, (between Rotterdam and Utrecht) has become a meeting place of classic motorcycle fans. A meeting place where with a cup of coffee (or tea) can be talked about the classic motorcycle hobby and where our classic motorcycles can be admired (and be bought!). But come and see our company. 3. Our TMC stand on the Vehikel Fair at Utrecht

What do we show at our stand in Utrecht? There is a 500cc Rickman ABSAF/BSA Gold Star DBD34 Special. This completely new built bike does have a nickel-plated frame, alu tank, completely electronic ignition, Seeley front brake, a conical Triumph back hub and a Norton fourspeed gearbox for road use. A bike built up with the best parts you can buy.

We have also at the stand a Moto Guzzi V7 Sport, one or maybe two 1000cc Vincents, a BSA Gold Star, 2x Moto Morini, a BSA B50.

Of course we have at our stand the first prize of our great The Motorcycle Company Lottery, the NORTON COMMANDO MK3 INTERSTATE 1975. Can you see this bike in real. It is a very nice and attractive example of this famous make in black. This lottery is the talk of the town in motorcycle circles. See further under point 9 of this Newsletter.

4. Bikes in consignment

An interesting aspect for you can be the possibility to sell your bike through the intermediary of our company. If you don't like time-wasters at your door or on the telephone, then contact us. We can take your bike in consignment and we can assure you that we have the facilities in our showroom (as well in our Newsletters and on the Website) to show your bike at its best. Just like we can place it on our web site. Until now we have sold many classic bikes for our clients and we have made many good deals for them. Our conditions for selling your bike(s) are very reasonable. So contact us by phone or E-mail.

5. Searching for bikes

The other way around can also happen. It is possible that you want to buy a bike that is quite rare to obtain. Don't hesitate and call or E-mail us and no doubt we can help you. And believe us, the surprise of your friends seeing you with a quite rare classic Bike, makes hobby-life so much nicer.

6. Activities

Regularly our company is the centre of activities concerning the classic motorcycle hobby. Recently TMC has organised for the second time the so- called "Pea-Soup Rally" for riders of classic motorcycles. In all kind of weather this rally will be ridden. Halfway the rally the riders get a cup of TMC pea-soup and believe us they love it! We have also organised a meeting for fans of classic enduro motorcycles. A number of about 70 fans attended this successful meeting and they came with old Maico's, Jawa's, Moto Morini's, Puch's, Hercules, BMW's and other makes. We will continue and stimulate this kind of activities in the future for they supply a want.

7. Just a handful of our classic products

Riding a classic motorcycle in style is almost a "must". Therefore you need among other things of course a helmet in style. We have the representation of the stylish DAVIDA helmets and goggles. These give the finishing touch in riding your classic bike.

We are selling now also the complete line of BETA tools. You know good tools are essential for doing a good job on your bike.

8. What can we offer on the moment

This time aiming at the fans of off the road riding we can offer at the moment several interesting off road bikes. We do have a BSA B50 and a BSA MX motocross machine. We also have for sale a Triumph Trophy of about 1975 and a rare AJS CS 500cc motocross machine. Of course we also have several interesting road going bikes such like Norton's, Moto Guzzi's, Moto Morini's and so on. This is only a small part of our collection. This unique lottery is onlyto our customers, starting from October 1st. 2000 up to including March 31st. 2001. We repeat: for every Dfl. 500,-- spent in our shop, during the months OCTOBER, NOVEMBER, DECEMBER, JANUARY, FEBRUARY AND MARCH, you will get a lottery ticket.

The purchase can exist of parts, clothing, helmets and so on but ALSO A COMPLETE MOTORCYCLE. So if you for instance, would buy a classic motorcycle for an amount of Dfl. 9.000,-- then you will get 18 tickets! When during the aforementioned period you buy goods in our shop you can save up the sales receipts. When you have reached the amount of Dfl. 500,-- you can exchange them in our shop for a lottery ticket.

The notarised drawing of the winning numbers and the handover of the NORTON COMMANDO will be done by a Dutch motorcycle celebrity. This will take place in the course of the month of April 2001 on a Saturday, the exact date to be determined later on. Sales of motorcycles in consignment are (of course) excluded from the lottery.
